A Good Day, A very Good Day!

So I don't have any new pictures to show. But I am going crazy to post something. So I will give a run down of the last few days. I am becoming more mobile. As Marci stated on her blog we went to lunch yesterday. It was so nice to get out. I showered and put on jeans for the first time since the broken leg accident. (By the way the jeans were actually loose on me)- (okay I've showered since the accident it was the putting on jeans since then.) So what better way to fix that then to go to Red Robin for the amazing fries and 4 Diet Cokes. (Austin says I need to lay off the dc, he says that is why I fall all the time. But I don't have the patience to test that theory.) Marci did time me on my restroom trip. 4 minutes. I know I am a speed demon. It was just nice to sit and gab and relax. Thanks Marci.

On Saturday Bryan and I went to the adult session of stake conference. Elder Hales was there. My dad was asked to be security for him. We were told he usually travels with security but not this time so the stake president asked dad to do it. We got to sit on the front row. His talk was amazing. He went over his time but said "I am being told because of who you are I need to keep teaching you some things." Wow! Bryan and I came home feeling his talk was directed right towards us. Because we were up front we got to shake his hand. What an amazing feeling. The only other time I felt the spirit that strong in a hand shake was when I was at LDSBC and I got to sing for and shake Elder Wirthlins hand. It was an amazing night and then we went to eat at the Trolley with my parents. We decided that on Sunday I would take Austin and Danielle with me and my parents to the stake center and Bryan would take to the two little ones to our church to watch stake conference.
We got to the stake center at 9:20 and it was already full. We got to be up front again. When Elder Hales walked in everyone in the congregation stood for him. All the talks were good. One moment that will stick out was Elder Hales was talking about picking good friends and he looked right at Danielle. We have been struggling a little with her on her friends. Anyway, when it was over dad asked Austin to help him be security which Austin loved and knew it was an honor. They both got to shake the hand of a servant of the Lord. Can't ask for much more than that. A Good day, a very good day. :)

Update!

So January is just a boring month. Nobody has posted anything in a few days. I hope every one had a nice long weekend. I of course spent the weekend pretty much on the couch. My parents did insist on taking the whole family to dinner and a movie. They decided that I had been on the couch long enough. We went and saw "mall cop". It was cute. But pretty predictable. The kids liked it. When I got home I was just completely worn out. I did venture out and go to church on Sunday. It was so nice to go and be there. Today I went to the doctor. It was good. He has me wearing a boot for support and protection during the winter months. For some reason he thinks I might fall and re hurt it. I don't know why he would think that. haha! But I guess I still have a long road. Like another 4-5 weeks of wobbling. Yuck. I can't express my love for my family, the kids have been amazing and Bryan has been unbelievable. It has really tested all of their patience and they are doing great. My parents have been a huge help. They call everyday to make sure I have everything that I need and I get phone calls daily from friends and neighbors. I have had so many friends bring lunch and spend the afternoon with me. And I have loved every minute of it. Hopefully everyone has a great week.

I know I am kind of behind, Christmas pictures with a Valentine background. But what else can I do right now. I finally downloaded some of our pictures. This has been such a hard time for me. I can't get around very well still. The doctor told me to start putting a little weight on my leg. So I do that during the day and then I need to drug up at night because the pain is so bad. I can't seem to win. The chores are slowly starting to not get done as quickly. Everyone is getting burned out of doing mom jobs. (All I can say is welcome to my world). Then yesterday after school Baylie came to me and said that she fell at school and got a bruise. So I told her lets compare our bruises.
So I think I won in the "Who has the biggest bruise." My life consists of sitting on my couch, an occasional stroll around the kitchen, a trip to the bathroom and then back on the couch. Coop has realized that there is nothing I can do if I start to get mad at him. I can count to three then what? He just laughs and runs away. I know I shouldn't but then it makes me laugh. He knows mom is not coming after him. Hopefully I will get motivated and start reading. I have great books to read but I have not been comfortable enough to lay and read. Hopefully this week I can get into a book. Just a few more pictures.

My broken leg!!

It has been a long time since Ihave posted. Just to let everyone know on December 29 at about 11p.m. I took a major fall in my kitchen. I had a freak accident and just fell wrong on my leg. I had a blessing the kids called my dad. He ran down and saw my leg and called the ambulance. After two shots of morphine(not enough) and a bumpy ride to the hospital it was announced that I broke both my fibula and tibia (I think. both bones in my lower leg). I was admitted into the hospital. After the x-rays it was not a simple break. It was a compound fracture and a break above the ankle and a break below the knee. I was told that it needed surgery. Late Tuesday night I had surgery. A rod was placed in my leg with a few sets of screws. The surgery went well and I got to spend New Years Eve in the hospital. I had a lot of visitors and Natalie was visiting for the Christmas break. She wanted to live at the hospital with me. After all of this she has decided that she wants to be a nurse. Who knew that my breaking my leg would have such an impact on her. She wanted to stay at the hospital all the time with me. My parents came and visited me on a surprise visit during New Years. Then I got to go home on New Years Day, and since then I have been camped out on my couch. My family has been amazing and I don't know what I would do without my parents they have been so helpful and supportive. I love them so much. The kids have really stepped up. They have been pitching in on the housework without much complaining. Bryan has been amazing and I don't know what I would do without him. It has been really hard for me to just lay around. It is so hard to have to ask the kids to get me a drink or bring me something. But at the same time everyone is starting to realize how much a mom does. (At least I think so.) Thanks to everyone for the phone calls and visits. I hope everyone had a great New Years. I will hopefully post pictures later. I love my family so much. Thank you.
