So I have been thinking about our trip to Vegas and I had some thoughts so bear with me. And I have a few pictures to post. Normally we have lots of pictures after the bowl game because my dad and Austin would storm the field with the fans and get lots of pictures with players but not this year. So it got me thinking. As I was looking through the bowl program I was looking at the Arizonia players and I just could not imagine any of these guys pictures haning on Austin's wall or Dani thinking any of them are cute or wanting to stay game after game to have her picture taken with them. They were not clean cut. A lot had earrings or long hair or mean looking. I am not trying to be judging but I am so grateful that my kids have good role models. I like walking into thier rooms and seeing pictures of Max, David, Fui, John B., Austin C. and Jonathan T. and Bryan K. hanging on thier walls. I like that we can go to a fireside and see David singing every word to a primary song that he knows by heart. What a better role model for Dani as to looking for qualities that one day she will want in a husband. I am so grateful when Austin mentions who his role models are he names scriptures heros, BYU players and then Indy. But still for only Indy to be on the list of that is not bad. He is in great company. And because of my two older ones now Baylie and Cooper look at these guys as some of thier role models. I am in awe every time I hear Bronco talk about these players but more he talks about them as good preisthood holders and building amazing men more than amazing athletes. I know they are not perfect and have faults but when I condiser the other things that could be hanging on their walls or the crushes Dani could have on other superstars. It makes me grateful they pick these guys. And honestly Dani talks more about David Nixon than any superstar or celebrity out there. And yes she had a lesson on the fact that he is older and he can date and have a girlfriend but then it is nice to know that she can go to the program and find another crush with the same values and standards that we have. And that Austin can look at these guys and know he can still play football, go to school and go on a mission and be successful. What is better than that. It makes me so grateful for the gospel and that little things like a football team and coaches actually help teach my kids truth and what to stand for.

So we came home today in mourning. My dad and I took Danielle and Austin down to the Las Vegas bowl game. It was a sad night. I will post a few pictures later. We still had fun and it has been a fun tradition we have started. I just wish they would have won. Austin always hates the part of being in Vegas. He feels he has to have his head in his lap so he won't see all the bad images and as we were pulling into Vegas we heard Dani in the back singing "Scripture Power". That happened to be the song that came on her ipod as we got there. How prefect. We still had fun but would have been so much better with a win. Dani did get her heart broken. We went to the fireside in Henerson on Friday night. As the team walked in Dani spotted David walking in and his face lite up and those dimples shined when he saw a special someone. She was cute but I could still see a little saddness in Dani's eyes. But by the end of the weekend she was looking through the program to find her next crush for the 2009 football season. And she is ready for BYU basketball and a boy wearing number 45.

So I have realized if I want to do something with my post it has to be very early in the morning. I am finally posting some Disneyland pictures. We had a great time. The lines were so short. we averages 20+ rides a day and that is waiting to see characters as well. Some rides the kids went on and stayed on for a 2nd and 3rd turn because no one was in line. That was rides like Tower of Terror, Tea Cups, and Screamin California, all of which are usually very long lines. Dani had a blast. It was fun to take her. This was our first vacation with her since she has come to live with us. She wanted a picture with every character we saw. Austin was not thrilled to be there. I couldn't get him in a lot of pictures. His favorite ride is Indiana Jones. No surprise there. Baylies favorite thing was meeting Tinkerbell. This is a new area in Disneyland where you go and meet her and her friends. Coop's favorite ride was Tower of Terror, then Pirates. I think we did Pirates 8 to 10 times. No lines. Bryan came too. It was a nice little break. But of course you always have the hassle of coming back, kids trying to get caught up at school and wishing you would have bought a few things that you didn't get. Here are a few of our favorite pictures. I told Austin I would stop bugging him to be in pictures if he would get his picture taken alone with three princess and he did. He is so funny. I also have a new Christmas picture to put up top. But I love the old one I have now. I will change it in a few days. More pictures coming of some act ivies that have been going on in the Johnson household.

Okay, Marci will be glad I am finally posting. I love this picture of the kids. It was forever go, but they are so cute. Dani says "please don't post that, look at my cheeks." But as the mom I can do what I want. Haha. Hopefully tonight I will post a few pictures from our Disneyland trip.

Okay. So I went and saw Twilight last week with my mom, Carrie and Danielle and we all really liked it. Dani hasn't read the books yet, but know she wants to. Then I went and saw it again with Baylie. I think they did a great job casting except for Jacob. For those of you with kids all I saw was "Sharkboy." anyway overall a good movie. Hopefully everyone had a safe and great Thanksgiving. My mom and I went to the annual craft show in Spanish Fork and then we went to Target. I actually got a lot of shopping done. We got a parking space right up front and as we were starting to look for a place to check out a lady opened her lane. Pretty nice day. I know finally I have posted something. Hopefully some point today I will post a few pictures from Disneyland. But time has finally hit me and I realize I only have 20 days or so to finish a couple of important Christmas gifts. Yikes!!!! better get busy. Happy shopping everybody.
