We try so hard to protect our kids from harm, mean people or horrible sights. Unfortunately this was not possible this week. On Tuesday Austin witnessed a horrible accident that occurred at our high school parking lot. I had never seen him in such distress before. At the time I didn't realize how bad it really was. 4 boys were doing doughnuts in the parking lot after football practice and they rolled the jeep that they were in. Austin and Dallin ( Dani's friend) were a few of the first ones on the scene. Since the accident Austin has been waking up in cold sweats and panting. When he does sleep it is restless. Really no 14 year old boy should have to see what he saw. The outcome was not good. 2 boys were released from the hospital that night, one stayed in the hospital for a few day with a punctured lung and a few broken ribs. Brandon Curtis passed away on Wednesday. It has been really hard for Dani and Austin. Austin did not know Brandon well. He was just getting to know him through football and football camp.( They also play the same position) Austin is very close with Brandon's little brother Marshall. Dani has been having a hard time as well. She dated Brandon last year and went to Preference with him. It so hard to have a friend pass away. It is amazing how something so tragic can bring together a community. Brandon was a wonderful gentleman. He was always respectful and kind when he was at our house. He will be missed.

He was a great kid. The city has been so supportive and helpful to his family. There are so many fundraisers planned. I can't wait for the first football game. Brandon was named an honorary team captain. It will be a very senitimental and memorable night.
Please keep the Curtis family in your thoughts and prayers. This has been an eye opening experience for us. For me it has reminded me to never let my kids leave without them knowing I love them. The plan of Salvation has once again been a big topic of discussion at our house. But it has been so helpful in letting us know that we can live with our Father in Heaven again. And that everything happens for a purpose. Please keep Austin and Dani and your prayers. Austin has a long recovery process. But with prayers and blessings I know we can get through this.

Okay so drill is over for the year. Here she is after districts. Dani had so much and had great experiences. She made great friends. Our high school football team made to the state championship game. Our girls basketball won the state title. So the girls got to perform at Rice Eccles Stadium. Here is Dani with her new favorite friend Dallin.

Nat came to visit for Thanksgiving so we took some pictures. Wow!!!! It is hard to believe. I am so grateful that she is here and lives with us. She made the drill team for next year and was also voted as President for the team. She will be very busy next year.
Austin turned 14. Wow he is taller than me (that's not saying a whole lot). He loves football and track. He just won the 200, 4x100, 4x400 at the district meet. He is the district champ. We have quite a few more meets this summer before football starts.
Here he is with his friend Jessi. Nice that it isn't a close shot, because they thought they were being cool and went with all spandex at a track meet and nothing else. (Not a pretty sight for the moms) but they thought they were cool.

Baylie did Jr. Dvelles. That is where the drill team teaches little girls dances. They both had a blast.

Dani went to Preference (girls choice). It is so hard to keep up. We lost another neighbor two weeks ago. The two little ones were close with Monte. He was a very nice and polite man. He was so generous and loved to help every one. He will be greatly missed. So now that my family has had two deaths very close to us in a matter of a two week period this has been the perfect time to talk and reflect on the love of family and the after life and how important it is to live everyday to the fullest and never have regrets. My family seems to have grown closer in the last few weeks. I love my family could not have asked for a more amazing kids and husbands. We love that we have been able to talk more about the plan of Salvation and how our life here on this earth is for such a short time. As the holidays soon approach us let us not ever forget the love of family.
Okay onto updates. I started sub teaching and love it. Okay I have only done it once so far. But that one time was great. Dani is little Miss popular. She got asked to both Maple Mountain (that is the new high school that just opened ) and Springville's homecoming. She was so excited and loved both nights. Here she is Ethan Wolz. Her Springville date. And here is her date for the Maple Mountain Homecoming Matt Comer.
Austin was very sick for week. Missed school and football. But he is back and at his first game back he scored a touchdown. Only a few more games. I am going to miss those games. But just a few months and track starts.
Baylie got the same sickness. So she missed some school too. She is busy babysitting and being a great cheerleader. She wants to be at every game and every performance of Dani's. She loves to be involved in everything.
Coop just finished the soccer season and is not so patiently waiting for wrestling to start.
Bryan is getting slower in the work area. So if any one knows of any jobs. Just holler:)
Just a few notes about our everyday activities. Check out the new pictures on the side as well. They are smaller but still cute. Since they are my kids. haha!

She will be missed dearly.

This past week we lost a dear friend. Tauna Blackburn died of complications due to diabetes. She was such an amazing friend. We first started hanging out after we moved into the ward. We also had so much fun at the cabin and going out to dinner. Anytime there was trip planned either she or Chad called to invite us. We were privileged enough to be one of the first ones to know that two amazing spirits were about to enter into her and Chad's life. Her parents are wonderful an treated my kids like grandchildren until the year that their family was blessed with a bunch of grandchildren of their own. Tauna and I got to serve in many callings together. We were team teachers in Sunbeams and then again we were teaming together in Activity days. I will miss her so much. She was so talented and every time we talked there seemed to be a new talent that I found out she had. She leave behind the most adorable little boy and girl and a wonderful husband. All of this has been hard on my kids and it has been a real teaching tool on the plan of salvation and on eternal life. Time is to precious and short. Live life everyday and to the fullest.

So for my last few weeks I have a few pictures. We hosted for the folkfest and had 3 great girls stay with us from Hungry. They were so much fun. We had a very busy week. They had never seen a real "American" baseball game. So the first night we went to an OWLZ game. They had a lot of fun.Next we started school. Along with that I went to Education Week at BYU. It always so fun. I went with my mom and we had a good time visiting and listening to amazing people. It was nice to be busy that first week. I haven't had time to myself since before Austin was born. The kids were so excited for school. Okay the two younger ones were, to two older ones, not so much.So Dani is in 11th grade, Austin is in 8th grade, Baylie is in 5th and Cooper is in 1st. All Dani told me was the different cute boys in each of her class. Sad to say Austin told me he hated having second lunch because he is soo hungry and what cute girls were in his class. Baylie talked about working lunch and that she gets a planner to use and Coop said they did alot of walking. So cute. Dani had her first drill performance at the first home football game. She did great. I was working in the scone booth. She also performed at the Utah County State fair. And they looked great. My parents came to both performances and are so supportive. I love them. Austin is playing football but he is on crutches right now. A major groin pull. Hopefully it will heal before his first game on Saturday. Coop started soccer and we are just simply very busy once again. But I wouldn't change it for anything. More pictures to come soon. About a month ago my dad suggested that I look into taking Austin to compete. So after a week or two of contemplating I signed him up. It wasn't until after the payment was made that I realized that it was going to be a tough week for him. First he was at BYU Football camp from Monday until Thursday afternoon. What a great experience. He loved IT!!!!

Austin got great one on one coaching from his coach this week. Great pep talks from Bronco. He had a great time. His coach this week was Curtis Brown. And Austin loved every minute of it. There was a ton of past players that helped coach. It was a great week.

Here Austin is with Curtis Brown. Curtis told us he is a great player and looks forward to Austin coming in a few years and breaking all of his records. OH YEAH!!! Future Cougar here!!

Next on the list was on the last afternoon of the football camp after he checked out- we came home, did laundry and packed up the car. First we headed to Provo High school where he competed in the District Hershey track meet. He placed first in the 100 and 200 meter and second in the long jump (not his favorite event). So he has now qualified for the state meet which is on Saturday. We left that meet and headed to Cedar City. He ran first on Friday in the prelims and qualified for the finals on Saturday. On Saturday he ran first in the 100 meter and won his first gold medal.

While we were waiting for the 200 meter, a mother of an older runner found us in the stands and asked if Austin wanted to run on a relay team. 4 boys and one race later and he had his second gold medal. I call them the "stranger team". They had to come up with a name ten minutes before that race- they saw a Dasini water bottle and hence the name "Team Dasini". Whatever- boys.

All of the boys are older than Austin. After this race he only had time to get his number and wait for the 200. He won the 200 hundred, but you could tell he had just ran a race. His time was 25.33 and second place 25.44. PHEW!!!! That was a close one.

But it was a great week and we look forward to seeing Austin this week at the State meet. Wish him luck!!!!!

Lazy Day's of Summer-NOT

Wow Let's a summer review. Dani is in drill and loving it. She gets up at 5:45 every morning and has drill from 6-9. Then 3 days a week she a nanny for a family in the ward. It is the perfect schedule. She was in the Art City Days parade. The drill team looked great. She was also busy this last week with city youth council. She volunteered at the children's art festival and worked in the scone booth. Next week she will be off to girls camp of a day and then drill camp the rest of the week.Austin has started working for Bryan here and there. He is also running in Hershey track. The district meet is this Thursday. After that meet we will head down to Cedar City where he will run in the summer games on Friday and Saturday. Right know he is away at BYU football camp. It seems weird not having him here. I know he is only like 7-8 miles away. But it feels weird. His coaches include present and past coaches and players including Curtis Brown. He said yesterday that about 3 coaches asked him what his name was. He said not every one got asked their names. Coach Mendenhall came to orientation and gave the boys a really good pep talk. I only recorded a little bit and I will see if I can post it.

Next is Baylie, she also got to be in the parade. A perk of having a drill sister. She carried a banner and looked so cute. I switched dance studio's this summer and glad I did. She is in a summer dance class that works on turns and techniques. She loves it. She decided that she wanted to ride on a ride at the Carnival this year for Art City days. I got "classic" pictures that she does not do well with motion rides. It was so funny but her poor face.

Cooper is doing t-ball and loves it. He has a really good friend on the team and is having a blast. He loved the parade this year. We sat curb side so I could run and get pictures of the girls and man did he bank in the treat department. He got to play with my cousins twins named Coulter and Kaysen. They call him "Scooper". He had a blast with them. Yes, banana's and apples were handed out at the parade. Coop also wanted to ride the same motion ride as Baylie. And yes he was sick. Dani was a trooper to go on it with them, but everytime that ride came down Coop asked the worker to stop the ride. HAHA. So fun.

It has not been lazy day's of summer here at the Johnson household. So I will try to put a few pictures on here. I wish that I could get the slide show to work but never could. Let's see.... let's start with Cooper. He usually gets put last so let's do him first.

Cooper just graduated from kindergarten. I can't believe it- kindergarten. He has loved it and loved his teacher. He also loved his high school helper Chelsea.

Next he graduated from music class. He has loved learning music and is excited that next year he will start learning to play the piano. I had so much fun going with him and his class to the zoo. We had a blast. It was a perfect day.

Here is our group at the zoo. What a group of boys.

Next is Baylie. Fourth grade is ending and fifth is just around the corner. Wow. I also got to go with her class to the "This is the Place" state park. I had never been there before and I suggest anyone who has not been there. Go! It was so fun. The kids loved it. Baylie wants to go back so bad. Pulling handcarts!

Sitting in the school house.

A last few side notes. Austin's track team took first at the district meet. He broke the district record in the 100 and 200 meter for the seventh grade. And his relay team took 2nd. Overall it was a great track meet. He also qualified for the district meet in Hershey track which will be held later in June.

Austin's medley relay team. 2nd place at district.

And last, this past week Dani and Austin went with my cousin Lori and her son Evan (who were visiting from Ohio) to hike the "Y". They had a blast and I was so glad that they could go with her. I just wish I could have gone. :(

Dani was very sore the next day.

I can't believe the BYU football team runs that hike. Wow!!!

And today Cooper and I went to the Bean Museum on BYU campus with Carrie, Tristan and Charlotte. It was a lot of fun. Need to find a few cheap and easy things to do this week with Cooper being done with school. Phew!!!! That was a lot!!!

So much has been going on. So this is another UPDATE post. That seems to be the only thing that I am good at lately. And this will not be so much of an update to most of you because I talk to most of you on a regular basis. Oh well.

Danielle made drill team. Yeah. We are so excited for her. Our pocketbooks aren't thrilled, but that is what fundraisers are for right? Try-outs were a couple of weeks ago. What a busy day that was. Try-outs ended at 6:30. They posted the list. Had a party that night from 7:00-9:30. She came home did homework, went to bed around 10:30. And at 11:30 the older girls on the drill team kidnapped her for a sleepover. She stayed up till 4:30ish and had early morning seminary at 6:20. She was one tired girl. She had to go to school in her p.j.'s with no make-up, no hair done, and wearing a fun sign. But I think she still looked great.

Let's see. Austin is doing amazing in track. He holds the school 7th grade record in the 1oo meter, 200 meter, and his teams 4x100 meter, and 4x400 meter races. He broke his own record yesterday in the 200 meter and placed 3rd overall. Right behind two 9th graders. He was really pumped about that. He is usually placed with the older boys when running because his times are with them.

The sea of yellow his his track team. There are close to 100 kids on his team. It is amazing.

Baylie had a dance recital and did really good. She loves to dance and has a blast having her best friends on her dance team with her. She also did Hershey track this week. She seems to have a good time.

Baylie with her best buddies, Savannah and Maddi. What cute girls.

And then Cooper, he is just hanging around. Literally. Just going every where and cheering everyone on. His season of t-ball is coming soon.

So there it is another run down of the last few weeks. So there will a lot of pictures, I hope. First, I have been a slacker mom, Austin's birthday was last week and I didn't post a thing. So here is his tribute to him.

Here he is at two.

And here his at 13. Wow. Time goes by so fast. He is so much fun to have around and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for him. Happy Birthday Austin, We love you.

Dani had her first official date. His name was Kaleb and she had a really nice time. They went to dinner and a school dance and then came here and played Rock band. Her next date was Preference. I just noticed that she must really like the color Solomon. Hmmmm.

Let's see. Bryan and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary and spent the night in Midway at the same place we stayed on our wedding night. The Inn on the Creek. It was nice to get away for the night. Austin is doing track and having a blast. In his first meet he broke the school 7th grade record for the 100 meter, 200 meter and the 4x400 meter races. He has another race tomorrow. Dani is trying out for Drill tonight, so everyone keep your fingers crossed. We have a new addition to the family. Hercules joined us last week. He is cute and a very busy puppy. Baylie and Cooper can't get enough of their friends and can't wait for summer to play all day long. Anyway that was a a run down of our last month in a nut shell. Phew!!!!!!

Danielle is Sweet 16.

Here is Danielle at 6 years old.
And here she is yesterday at 16. It is hard too believe that so much time has gone by. We have had so much fun with her living with us. And it was a blast celebrating her special day with her. We took a few of her friends and went to stay the night at a hotel, we went to dinner and went and saw a movie. The girls went swimming and then played games. On Saturday we went dress shopping. She is going to Preference. She got a dress and then some new skirts, and then we had a dinner at the Trolley. She was a little disappointed that her actual day landed on a Sunday but oh well.
Danielle is such a fun girl. She is sweet, has a contagious smile and laugh. She loves to hang out with friends, loves boys, her phone, listening to music, basketball and most recently driving anywhere.
We are so happy she is a part of our family. We love you. Hope you had a great day.

So here we are, Baylie with her broken arm and me with my broken leg. On Thursday Baylie fell walking out of her lunch room at school and fell forward and landed on her arm wrong. She is in a nice bright cast for at least 3 weeks. Unlike me, she was excited when the doctor told her she would need a cast. She wasn't so excited tonight when it was itching her like crazy. She is also glad it happened in the winter. This is when she is so much my daughter. It was just nother freak acident. (Hey, Chels- I will adopt you too since you are falling right in suit with our family haha) She knows it wouldn't be fun to be in a cast in the summer time. She also had a science fair last week. She did it on what type of cookie sheet works the best for a perfect cookie. The winner was the Pampered Chef Stoneware.
Other exciting things, Dani got offically asked to the Sweetheart's dance. So lucky us we had to answer this poor boy with a no because she is not 16. But in return she asked him (a little ahead of schedule) to Preference. It is in March and she will be able to go. He answered her tonight with a yes. It was kindof fun doing that. It wil be fun asking and answering to dances. It will be even more fun going shopping for that first dance dress.
Other than that just another boring week. It looks like it is that way for others since no one has posted anything in awhile. Hope everyone has a safe week. :)

A Good Day, A very Good Day!

So I don't have any new pictures to show. But I am going crazy to post something. So I will give a run down of the last few days. I am becoming more mobile. As Marci stated on her blog we went to lunch yesterday. It was so nice to get out. I showered and put on jeans for the first time since the broken leg accident. (By the way the jeans were actually loose on me)- (okay I've showered since the accident it was the putting on jeans since then.) So what better way to fix that then to go to Red Robin for the amazing fries and 4 Diet Cokes. (Austin says I need to lay off the dc, he says that is why I fall all the time. But I don't have the patience to test that theory.) Marci did time me on my restroom trip. 4 minutes. I know I am a speed demon. It was just nice to sit and gab and relax. Thanks Marci.

On Saturday Bryan and I went to the adult session of stake conference. Elder Hales was there. My dad was asked to be security for him. We were told he usually travels with security but not this time so the stake president asked dad to do it. We got to sit on the front row. His talk was amazing. He went over his time but said "I am being told because of who you are I need to keep teaching you some things." Wow! Bryan and I came home feeling his talk was directed right towards us. Because we were up front we got to shake his hand. What an amazing feeling. The only other time I felt the spirit that strong in a hand shake was when I was at LDSBC and I got to sing for and shake Elder Wirthlins hand. It was an amazing night and then we went to eat at the Trolley with my parents. We decided that on Sunday I would take Austin and Danielle with me and my parents to the stake center and Bryan would take to the two little ones to our church to watch stake conference.
We got to the stake center at 9:20 and it was already full. We got to be up front again. When Elder Hales walked in everyone in the congregation stood for him. All the talks were good. One moment that will stick out was Elder Hales was talking about picking good friends and he looked right at Danielle. We have been struggling a little with her on her friends. Anyway, when it was over dad asked Austin to help him be security which Austin loved and knew it was an honor. They both got to shake the hand of a servant of the Lord. Can't ask for much more than that. A Good day, a very good day. :)

Update!

So January is just a boring month. Nobody has posted anything in a few days. I hope every one had a nice long weekend. I of course spent the weekend pretty much on the couch. My parents did insist on taking the whole family to dinner and a movie. They decided that I had been on the couch long enough. We went and saw "mall cop". It was cute. But pretty predictable. The kids liked it. When I got home I was just completely worn out. I did venture out and go to church on Sunday. It was so nice to go and be there. Today I went to the doctor. It was good. He has me wearing a boot for support and protection during the winter months. For some reason he thinks I might fall and re hurt it. I don't know why he would think that. haha! But I guess I still have a long road. Like another 4-5 weeks of wobbling. Yuck. I can't express my love for my family, the kids have been amazing and Bryan has been unbelievable. It has really tested all of their patience and they are doing great. My parents have been a huge help. They call everyday to make sure I have everything that I need and I get phone calls daily from friends and neighbors. I have had so many friends bring lunch and spend the afternoon with me. And I have loved every minute of it. Hopefully everyone has a great week.

I know I am kind of behind, Christmas pictures with a Valentine background. But what else can I do right now. I finally downloaded some of our pictures. This has been such a hard time for me. I can't get around very well still. The doctor told me to start putting a little weight on my leg. So I do that during the day and then I need to drug up at night because the pain is so bad. I can't seem to win. The chores are slowly starting to not get done as quickly. Everyone is getting burned out of doing mom jobs. (All I can say is welcome to my world). Then yesterday after school Baylie came to me and said that she fell at school and got a bruise. So I told her lets compare our bruises.

So I think I won in the "Who has the biggest bruise." My life consists of sitting on my couch, an occasional stroll around the kitchen, a trip to the bathroom and then back on the couch. Coop has realized that there is nothing I can do if I start to get mad at him. I can count to three then what? He just laughs and runs away. I know I shouldn't but then it makes me laugh. He knows mom is not coming after him. Hopefully I will get motivated and start reading. I have great books to read but I have not been comfortable enough to lay and read. Hopefully this week I can get into a book. Just a few more pictures.

My broken leg!!

It has been a long time since Ihave posted. Just to let everyone know on December 29 at about 11p.m. I took a major fall in my kitchen. I had a freak accident and just fell wrong on my leg. I had a blessing the kids called my dad. He ran down and saw my leg and called the ambulance. After two shots of morphine(not enough) and a bumpy ride to the hospital it was announced that I broke both my fibula and tibia (I think. both bones in my lower leg). I was admitted into the hospital. After the x-rays it was not a simple break. It was a compound fracture and a break above the ankle and a break below the knee. I was told that it needed surgery. Late Tuesday night I had surgery. A rod was placed in my leg with a few sets of screws. The surgery went well and I got to spend New Years Eve in the hospital. I had a lot of visitors and Natalie was visiting for the Christmas break. She wanted to live at the hospital with me. After all of this she has decided that she wants to be a nurse. Who knew that my breaking my leg would have such an impact on her. She wanted to stay at the hospital all the time with me. My parents came and visited me on a surprise visit during New Years. Then I got to go home on New Years Day, and since then I have been camped out on my couch. My family has been amazing and I don't know what I would do without my parents they have been so helpful and supportive. I love them so much. The kids have really stepped up. They have been pitching in on the housework without much complaining. Bryan has been amazing and I don't know what I would do without him. It has been really hard for me to just lay around. It is so hard to have to ask the kids to get me a drink or bring me something. But at the same time everyone is starting to realize how much a mom does. (At least I think so.) Thanks to everyone for the phone calls and visits. I hope everyone had a great New Years. I will hopefully post pictures later. I love my family so much. Thank you.

So I have been thinking about our trip to Vegas and I had some thoughts so bear with me. And I have a few pictures to post. Normally we have lots of pictures after the bowl game because my dad and Austin would storm the field with the fans and get lots of pictures with players but not this year. So it got me thinking. As I was looking through the bowl program I was looking at the Arizonia players and I just could not imagine any of these guys pictures haning on Austin's wall or Dani thinking any of them are cute or wanting to stay game after game to have her picture taken with them. They were not clean cut. A lot had earrings or long hair or mean looking. I am not trying to be judging but I am so grateful that my kids have good role models. I like walking into thier rooms and seeing pictures of Max, David, Fui, John B., Austin C. and Jonathan T. and Bryan K. hanging on thier walls. I like that we can go to a fireside and see David singing every word to a primary song that he knows by heart. What a better role model for Dani as to looking for qualities that one day she will want in a husband. I am so grateful when Austin mentions who his role models are he names scriptures heros, BYU players and then Indy. But still for only Indy to be on the list of that is not bad. He is in great company. And because of my two older ones now Baylie and Cooper look at these guys as some of thier role models. I am in awe every time I hear Bronco talk about these players but more he talks about them as good preisthood holders and building amazing men more than amazing athletes. I know they are not perfect and have faults but when I condiser the other things that could be hanging on their walls or the crushes Dani could have on other superstars. It makes me grateful they pick these guys. And honestly Dani talks more about David Nixon than any superstar or celebrity out there. And yes she had a lesson on the fact that he is older and he can date and have a girlfriend but then it is nice to know that she can go to the program and find another crush with the same values and standards that we have. And that Austin can look at these guys and know he can still play football, go to school and go on a mission and be successful. What is better than that. It makes me so grateful for the gospel and that little things like a football team and coaches actually help teach my kids truth and what to stand for.

So we came home today in mourning. My dad and I took Danielle and Austin down to the Las Vegas bowl game. It was a sad night. I will post a few pictures later. We still had fun and it has been a fun tradition we have started. I just wish they would have won. Austin always hates the part of being in Vegas. He feels he has to have his head in his lap so he won't see all the bad images and as we were pulling into Vegas we heard Dani in the back singing "Scripture Power". That happened to be the song that came on her ipod as we got there. How prefect. We still had fun but would have been so much better with a win. Dani did get her heart broken. We went to the fireside in Henerson on Friday night. As the team walked in Dani spotted David walking in and his face lite up and those dimples shined when he saw a special someone. She was cute but I could still see a little saddness in Dani's eyes. But by the end of the weekend she was looking through the program to find her next crush for the 2009 football season. And she is ready for BYU basketball and a boy wearing number 45.

So I have realized if I want to do something with my post it has to be very early in the morning. I am finally posting some Disneyland pictures. We had a great time. The lines were so short. we averages 20+ rides a day and that is waiting to see characters as well. Some rides the kids went on and stayed on for a 2nd and 3rd turn because no one was in line. That was rides like Tower of Terror, Tea Cups, and Screamin California, all of which are usually very long lines. Dani had a blast. It was fun to take her. This was our first vacation with her since she has come to live with us. She wanted a picture with every character we saw. Austin was not thrilled to be there. I couldn't get him in a lot of pictures. His favorite ride is Indiana Jones. No surprise there. Baylies favorite thing was meeting Tinkerbell. This is a new area in Disneyland where you go and meet her and her friends. Coop's favorite ride was Tower of Terror, then Pirates. I think we did Pirates 8 to 10 times. No lines. Bryan came too. It was a nice little break. But of course you always have the hassle of coming back, kids trying to get caught up at school and wishing you would have bought a few things that you didn't get. Here are a few of our favorite pictures. I told Austin I would stop bugging him to be in pictures if he would get his picture taken alone with three princess and he did. He is so funny. I also have a new Christmas picture to put up top. But I love the old one I have now. I will change it in a few days. More pictures coming of some act ivies that have been going on in the Johnson household.

Okay, Marci will be glad I am finally posting. I love this picture of the kids. It was forever go, but they are so cute. Dani says "please don't post that, look at my cheeks." But as the mom I can do what I want. Haha. So I went and saw Twilight last week with my mom, Carrie and Danielle and we all really liked it. Dani hasn't read the books yet, but know she wants to. Then I went and saw it again with Baylie. I think they did a great job casting except for Jacob. For those of you with kids all I saw was "Sharkboy." anyway overall a good movie. Hopefully everyone had a safe and great Thanksgiving. My mom and I went to the annual craft show in Spanish Fork and then we went to Target. I actually got a lot of shopping done. We got a parking space right up front and as we were starting to look for a place to check out a lady opened her lane. Pretty nice day. I know finally I have posted something. Hopefully some point today I will post a few pictures from Disneyland. But time has finally hit me and I realize I only have 20 days or so to finish a couple of important Christmas gifts. Yikes!!!! better get busy. Happy shopping everybody.

All of the taggings!

So I have been out of town for the past week. (We took the kids to Disneyland) and I really got behind on blogging. Or as Carrie says "You don't blog". I know. I have been so busy. And blogging really does take time. Anyway so I am going to do all the tagging at once and call it good. I will post again later on our trip to Disneyland.

7 random Things

1- I hate it when a football player is tackled and his shoulder pads come out of his jersey. And then they run to the side lines with it flapping.

2- I get teary eyed when I walk under that bridge into Disneyland. It always brings back memories of my childhood.

3- There was a favorite pantry closet in my Nana's house that when I go and visit it is the first thing I do. Walk to the pantry and take a huge breathe of the wonderful smells of all the spices.

4- Like Marci, I love shopping for fabric. I can't sew, you can ask her. But I love to get fabric or packs to make things and love to put them in the sew basket for a the next day that I know I will start that project.

5- Every time I call my mom, she is in the bathroom. Either doing whatever, showering, makeup or her hair. Never fails when I call. Does not matter what time of day.

6- I hate grass hoppers. When we were doing our family pictures this summer we had to go into a field and there were grasshoppers everywhere. The kids were cracking up because I was freaking out.

7- I hate going to the zoo. You know that part at Hogol Zoo where you are walking inside to go to another part of the building and you go through that part that has the trees and the birds flying around. Every time I have walked in there I get pooped on! I will go all the way around the building to get to the next corridor if I have to.

8 Things

8 Favorite T.V. shows

1- Criminal Minds

2- CSI New York

3- CSI Miami

4- Dancing with the Stars

5- Survivor

6- CSI

7- Law and Order SVU

8- The Bachelor (can't wait for Jason in January. That is who DeAnna should have picked last season).

8 things I did yesterday

1- woke up early

2- went to church

3- read a magazine

4- took a nap

5- made dinner

6- made Christmas list for the kids (things I want to get them)

7- texted Marci last night

8- went to bed

(what can I say it was Sunday)

8 Things I'm looking forward To

1- Thanksgiving

2- Day before Thanksgiving when the ads come out. I love to look at them but hate to go shopping the day after thanksgiving.

3- Finishing my Christmas shopping

4- Festival of Trees ( I love to go up and see the trees and read about the different people. It always makes me more grateful for the blessings I have.)

5- Christmas Eve ( I love the excitement of the kids that night)

6- Christmas morning( when the kids wake us up at 6:00 am. Nothing is better than that.)

7- Christmas morning for me. Bryan always surprises me with something amazing.

8- New years. I have a new calendar that I can't wait to use.

8 Things I wish for

1- To have our addition done with. Not just talk about it all the time.

2- To have our garage built. Unfortunately number one and two go together in Bryan's head.

3- I wish I was back at Disneyland. There are so many things I wish I would have bought. If anyone is going soon let me know.

4- I wish our world was wt peace. I know this sounds like a cheesy pageant line but it is true.

5- I wish all my kids do great on their grade again this term.

6- I wish and hope to attend the temple more regularly.

7- I wish everyone has a safe thanksgiving holiday. And eat your heart out.

8- I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season. Everyone be careful as you travel everywhere.

So there it is. I think that is all of them. I guess I could tag all of my sister- in- laws. I don't think it has reached to them yet. Yes, that is you Sharon, Amy, Lisa and Lyndzi. Love you all.

So much going on!

So much has been going on in the last few weeks. It was Coops birthday then there was Halloween. Before that Bryan got to go to a Jazz game. A kid's parents gave all the coaches from the football team their tickets. The price on the ticket was $1,050.00. They were right behind the announcers. Dani, Austin and I went to the BYU game. Dani had double luck. First David Nixon is starting to recognize her. not sure if that is good or bad. So a new picture with him. And then her favorite basketball player was at the game and we saw him and she got another picture. Tonight the three of us are going to a BYU football fireside here in Springville. She is hoping to get a "pre-engagement" picture with him. Since they will both be dressed up. She is looking forward to something new. I suggest anyone with youth if you can attend one of these firesides. They are so amazing. These men who play on the field and the ones that coach them put on an awesome fireside. Tomorrow is another big day, Austin has his first game as a Rotary Warrior. They play in Salt Lake at nine a.m. and then the last home football game of the year. GO AUSTIN and GO Cougars!!! Coop is still keeping us busy and loves school. Baylie loved her skirt I made her for Halloween. I can't believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner.

Happy Birthday Cooper!

COOPER is six today. Now I will be able to take a little breather. They both had a great time playing soccer and had wonderful coaches. Coop is getting ready to try wrestling and is so excited. Bryan is going to help coach. It doesn't start until the end of October but I get to hear about it everyday. Lucky me. Coop and my mom helped me can peaches and pears. It is always fun to do it with other people. On conference weekend while Austin and Bryan went to priesthood session the kids and I made Halloween cookies and we had a lot of fun. Baylie loves to help me in the kitchen and is always asking to make something.

Austin had his last football game of the season. But for never playing before I think he had a great season. Yesterday he ran for a 50 yard touchdown. It was amazing to watch him play and we are so proud of him. For the year he had 17 touchdowns and hundreds of yards rushing. Way to Go! Thank you to Steve, Ryan, Paul, Phil and Bryan for a great coaching staff. Austin learned so much. He couldn't have done it without you. Austin and Bryan had a great time on the team together. We will start at the top of the list. Dani is in a conditioning program so that she can try out again for the high school basketball team. She comes from this class barely able to walk up the stairs. She is also playing city volleyball this year. That should be fun. I took Dani and her frined Katlyn to the BYU game last night. We had a blast. I think Katlyn thought we were a little "cookoo". After the games we wait around for Dani to see her one and only. Last night it was about an hour wait. We saw him and got another picture with him. Katlyn said Dani should make a calender with all the pictures of him. The highlight for Dani was that we met the Nixon family. They were there waiting for him as well. We talked with them and they now know of "Dani" Davids biggest fan. They were so nice. We forgot our camera but we used Katlyns. So when she sends the lastest picture I will post it.

So yesterday was a hard night in the Johnson household. Austin lost his first football game of the season and was not sure how to take it. It was hard for all of us after seeing what he can do. It is really hard when we could see that he was trying but his line was just not coming through for him and letting him have a run. And I can't say "well if your line would have done their job or been better" because I know that it is a team game and effort but man that was a hard lose. His biggest game of the season is on Monday night here in Springville at the high school. We would love to see everyone there. They are playing another team from Springville who are undeafted but they do not play nice so hopefully we kick thier butts. Here are a few pictures from last weeks games.

This post is about Dani. She loves BYU football or should I say she loves who plays BYU football. This year we bought 3 tickets and her, Austin and me (Elissa) go to the games. Now last year her favorite player was #41 Bryan Kehl. (who can blame her for that one) This year the lucky one is #43 David Nixon. Because of connections we had we tired to arrange for him to make a surprise appearence for her birthday. He was not able to come but she saw him at the blue and white game and got another picture with him. We transfered it onto a shirt. She wore it to the game and after the game we found him and he loved the shirt. He said he wanted one. So she is in heaven. She thinks a six year age difference is nothing since that is what Bryan and I are. Dani, wait till you are out of high school baby!haha

Okay i know that I have already typed stuff today. But I have more pictures. These are from the amazing BYU/ucla Game. So at the blue and white game back in April we were sitting next to a family who has a son on the team. They are the Pittmans and the nicest people. Their son G (yes that is his real name) is a freshman but has already seen a lot of playing time. After the last two games we have visited with them while they wait for G to come out of the locker room. G's dad asks austin every week how his games have been going and asks Dani about her running. He told Austin that when G was Austin's age they went to the collage games and hung around the locker room and then would get invited to go to practices and run some plays with team and work out in the locker room. He told Austin that G and Big B (Brandon Bradley #5) would take him with them and start letting him work with them and get tips. That made Austins day. If that wasn't enough to make him jump for joy 2 weeks ago Bryan was golfing (i know that comes as a shocker to a lot of you haha) in Spanish Fork and saw Reho Mahe. he played for BYU and then the Philly Eagles. This is Austin's biggist football idol. after school I ran Austin up to the course and he had his picture taken with him. HUGE!

Fall Sports

So here I go again. this time I have a new background. It took me forever but I am being very determined. Although somewhere in the middle of changing to a cute background I lost my kids first day of school pictures. Everything is going good here. Dani is getting ready to take her driving test, waiting for volleyball to start and is preparing for basketball tryouts. Austin is dominating at football games. Their team is undeafted. At the game on Wednesday night he ran for 4 touchdowns. The only touchdowns. Most were with a run of between 30-50 yards a piece. Needless to say he is really enjoying football. Baylie's soccer team is also undeafted. She loves to play the sport. I say more power to her running up and down the feild. I can't do that. Cooper is playing soccer too and is actually understanding the game better this year. Last year he always seemed to end up on the ground. So our Wednesdays and Saturdays are usually all three games. I don't know what Iwould do without my parents. One is always with me or helping to take one of the kids to a game while I wait for one to finish. Although on Wednesday I did need to move down the bleachers as Austin was running for a touchdown. Mom can hit hard when she is excited! haha

thejohnson7clan

Okay so same day.
